Our Next Project: Gender Roles
For our next project, we will be constructing a statue that explores gender roles in today's society — specifically, those forced upon children. We believe that toy soldiers embody the unspoken expectation for young boys to "man up" and that barbie dolls, as many know, can lead to an unrealistic body image and the belief that young girls' self-worth are inversely proportional to their body weight.
